Geotechnical Engineer Location: Mississauga, Ontario Salary: $120,000-$150,000 (based on experience) About Our client is a Canadian‑owned and operated engineering consulting firm specialized in geotechnical and environmental consultation and project management. Role and Responsibilities Manage and lead geotechnical projects including planning, budgeting, scheduling and resource allocation. another line: Sierra? - sorry, no. Conduct site investigations, field surveys, geotechnical assessments and site assessments. Perform geotechnical analysis and engineering calculations. /core of the job: Design foundation systems, retaining structures, and slope stabilization measures. Review and interpret Geotechnical data, laboratory test results and environmental impact assessments. Mentor and supervise junior ώρα engineers, technicians, and field staff, and provide guidance on technical matters and professional development. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Certified Professional Engineer. Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record of managing projects and delivering successful outcomes. Strong proficiency in geotechnical analysis software such as gINT, Plaxis, GeoStudio. In‑depth knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, slope stability analysis, and geotechnical design principles. Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders. Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, regulations, and best practices in geotechnical engineering.
