Purchasing Director

Reporting to the Vice President, you will be part of a dynamic team in a constantly growing company. Your main role will be to develop and implement effective purchasing strategies and analyze market trends. In addition, you will oversee and supervise a multidisciplinary purchasing team of 8 people. You will be responsible for managing the procurement of products and/or raw materials for our various offices across Canada. As Director, your main responsibilities will include: Defining needs with internal and external clients. Supporting internal clients in supply chain management. Analyzing the market to conduct tenders and negotiate contracts with suppliers. Working closely with the Sales and Product Distribution Director. Defining and monitoring KPIs to identify improvement opportunities. Improving and implementing processes to meet client needs. Optimizing budget costs by working jointly with suppliers and negotiating cost reductions. Negotiating purchasing terms and finalizing agreements with suppliers and subcontractors. Success factors: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Fluency in spoken and written French and English (essential)*. Excellent analytical and negotiation skills. Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced searches). Strong analytical ability, organizational skills, and priority management. Interest in change management and openness to new approaches. Customer-oriented mindset and excellent stress management. Acts as a proactive, positive, and motivated leader.
