Join to apply for the Engineering Manager, Ecosystems role at 1Password . 1Password is growing faster than ever. We’ve surpassed $400M in ARR and we’re continuing to accelerate, earning a spot on the Forbes Cloud 100 for four years in a row and teaming up with iconic partners like Oracle Red Bull Racing and the Utah Mammoth. At 1Password, we’re building the foundation for a safe, productive digital future. Our mission is to unleash employee productivity without compromising security by ensuring every identity is authentic, every application sign‑in is secure, and every device is trusted. We innovated the market‑leading enterprise password manager and pioneered Extended Access Management, a new cybersecurity category built for the way people and AI agents work today. Over 180,000 businesses, from Fortune 100 leaders to the world’s most innovative AI companies, trust 1Password to help their teams securely adopt the SaaS and AI tools they need to do their best work. The Ecosystems team’s mission is to help customers discover and seamlessly integrate their favorite apps with 1Password — and to empower partners to showcase integrations, attract users, and grow within our ecosystem. By strengthening this ecosystem, we expand 1Password’s reach across new industries, reinforce our position as a security leader, and unlock revenue opportunities through strategic partnerships. We’re looking for an Engineering Manager who can drive this mission forward by pairing strong execution with strong product intuition. In this role, you’ll guide a team working across integrations, APIs, and developer experience. You’ll help define what we build and how we approach these problems — balancing high‑impact, targeted partner integrations with long‑term platform investments that make it easier for any partner to build with 1Password. As we expand into more headless and AI‑driven use cases, you’ll help shape how 1Password becomes part of automated workflows, agents, and emerging app ecosystems. This is an opportunity to define the patterns and capabilities that will power the next generation of secure, programmatic access to 1Password. You will work closely with Product, Design, and external partners, guiding projects from concept through delivery, ensuring cross‑functional alignment, and keeping everyone focused on customer outcomes. This is a highly collaborative, visible role where your leadership will directly influence how customers, developers, and partners experience 1Password — and how our ecosystem evolves for years to come. Location: Remote opportunity within Canada and the US. What We’re Looking For 3+ years of experience managing software engineering teams, delivering measurable results at scale. Strong technical background and ability to guide architecture, technical direction, and decisions. Track record of delivering large, complex, cross‑functional projects on time. Ability to recruit, hire, and retain exceptional engineering talent. Ability to create and maintain an inclusive, high‑performing, and engaged team environment. Ability to navigate ambiguity, make decisions quickly, and take accountability for outcomes. Experience managing remote, distributed teams effectively. What You Can Expect Lead, develop, and support a team of engineers, focusing on performance management, coaching, career growth, and creating a high‑performing, inclusive team environment. Define and drive clear, outcome‑oriented strategy aligned with company objectives. Ensure teams ship high‑quality work at a healthy, sustainable pace. Establish and maintain high standards of technical excellence and operational maturity. Collaborate across functions and teams to define priorities, scope, and success criteria. Set clear expectations, drive accountability, and follow through on commitments. Refine team structure, processes, and practices to support growth and evolving needs. USA‑based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $190,000 USD and $258,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s benefits program, generous paid time off, an equity grant, and where applicable, participation in incentive programs. Canada‑based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $172,000 CAD and $232,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program, generous paid time off, an equity grant, and where applicable, participation in incentive programs. At 1Password, we approach each individual’s compensation with a promise of fair market value and internal equity commensurate with experience and specific skill set. Our Culture At 1Password, we prioritize collaboration, clear and transparent communication, receptiveness to feedback, and alignment with our core values: keep it simple, lead with honesty, and put people first. You’ll be part of a team that challenges the status quo and is excited to experiment and iterate in search of the best solution. 1Password is not for everyone. Our work is demanding, we strive for excellence, and the pace is fast. We need people who are keen to take on challenging problems, who seek feedback to grow, and who are driven to make an impact. While we are a remote‑first company, travel for in‑person engagement is a part of almost all roles, and we require our employees to be ready and willing to take part.
