This role is responsible for delivering comprehensive wealth management services that meet member needs and increase share of wallet. Role Attract, retain, and grow your portfolio by proactively delivering holistic advice and solutions tailored to your members, including HNW individuals. Services may include comprehensive financial planning, retirement income planning, investment counseling, tax‑efficient income strategies, risk analysis, and investment asset management. Build strong relationships by actively seeking introductions and referrals from community partners, centres of influence, and other external contacts to expand your wealth business. Develop, manage, and implement client presentations, relationship plans, and review processes. Maintain regular contact with your portfolio to identify opportunities, conduct annual reviews, assess changing needs, and enhance member communication and experience. Collaborate with external professionals such as attorneys, accountants, and subject matter experts to coordinate service delivery. Evaluate member portfolios for appropriate channel alignment and facilitate introductions to suitable channel partners when necessary. Prepare and lead effective member meetings, ensuring a holistic approach that addresses opportunities, challenges, and member needs. Advocate for FirstOntario Investment products and services, clearly communicating their value to current and prospective members. Demonstrate the impact of services provided by reviewing reports and metrics with members. Maintain strong working relationships with internal business partners and make quality referrals that support organizational objectives and strategic goals. Develop and execute strategies to retain existing investment business and consolidate members' wealth assets from other financial institutions. Stay connected with members through various communication channels and offer flexible meeting options, whether in‑branch or at a location of their choosing. Actively participate in community groups and events to raise FirstOntario's visibility and grow your book of business. Maintain accurate member records and documentation using Dataphile, the dealer record keeping system, planning software (Conquest), CRM (Maximizer), client proposal software (CapIntel), and other relevant tools. Prioritize health and safety to ensure the well‑being of yourself and others. Perform other duties as required. Required Skills Possess strong business acumen, supported by a post‑secondary diploma or degree in business, economics, finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Hold a valid license as a Mutual Fund Representative with a CIRO‑member mutual fund dealer, with a minimum of two (2) years' experience as a licensed advisor. Hold a recognized designation such as Professional Financial Planner (PFP) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or be willing to pursue one within the first two years of starting in the role. Hold a Responsible Investment Specialist (RIS) designation or be willing to pursue it within the first year in this role. Be highly knowledgeable in investment planning, mutual funds, financial products and services, and customer service and enjoy sharing your expertise. Demonstrate enthusiasm for sales and business development within the wealth management industry. Be detail‑oriented and maintain accurate records of transactions and client interactions. Exhibit confidence in sales management, including setting and monitoring targets, plans, pipelines, and activities. Anticipate member needs, assess requirements, develop plans, and take initiative to help members achieve their financial goals. Be flexible and willing to travel or work irregular hours to accommodate member meetings, networking, and community involvement. Work independently while supporting team members and organizational objectives. Stay informed on financial trends and changes in the investment industry by following financial press and market commentary. Demonstrate superior written, verbal, and public speaking skills. Respond promptly to member service requests. Embrace the challenge of an evolving role and take ownership of its development. Consistently demonstrate integrity and trustworthiness. Be aware of and mitigate enterprise risk factors, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, legislation and FirstOntario policies and procedures. Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Must be available to work in office in Oakville Some travel within region and flexibility to be discussed in interview. This posting is for an existing vacancy. Salary Range: $59,078 to $81,233 annually. Compensation for this role reflects a combination of skills, experience, and internal equity. Those whose experience more closely aligns the role's requirements may be placed higher within the salary range.
