Seeking ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR

(Calgary and Surrounding Areas)

SABRE, a leader in electrical and instrumentation integration and field services, is actively seeking a skilled ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience estimating projects in Accubid, McCormick’s, or Excel based spreadsheets, along with a minimum of 5 years of estimating experience in the electrical industry. Strong communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role, as well as the ability to coach, mentor, train junior and junior estimators.


Responsibilities

As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for receiving requests for quotations (RFQ) and reviewing the scope of work to understand and identify the client’s needs. The Estimator will work with the team to produce clarifications through email and pre-bid meetings, analyze the RFQ and prepare the data to respond to the clients needs by submitting a formal proposal outlining the cost, schedule and offering. The Electrical Estimator will report to the Senor Project Manager and will work closely with the Business Development Team to ensure Sabre’s key metrics are captured and the clients experience is second to none.

Qualifications

  • Journeyman Electrician Certification from an accredited Canadian Institution
  • Minimum 5 years of Electrical Estimating experience in previous role
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of current Codes, Standards and Technical Requirements
  • Experience in client communication and strong understanding of E-houses, Electrical Field Construction, and other Electrical Projects
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and written/oral communication skills
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, conflict resolution, time management, and multi-tasking abilities

PREREQUISITES FOR SUCCESS

Preferred Certifications: Related post-secondary education is a must.

Proven Track Record: Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role.
