Assistant Front Store Manager – Shoppers Drug Mart – St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada Salary range: $18.85 – $21.85 per hour (or 18,85€ – 21,85€). Full‑time, mid‑senior level. Job Description Join a locally owned and operated store to help deliver health, beauty and convenience services in your community, keeping the customer at the centre of everything you do. Responsibilities Assist the Front Store Manager in managing human, physical and financial resources of the store. Maintain store standards to optimize customer experience, drive traffic, and impact profitability. Work with management to ensure store standards are upheld 100% of the time, including the backroom. Help manage labour scheduling and leverage Workforce Management to maximize productivity. Ensure staffing levels are adequate to operate the business effectively. Adhere to Human Resources standards, support hiring for all departments (excluding pharmacy). Maintain wage administration within SLPH guidelines. Drive Blue Culture, engagement, and motivation through core values. Qualifications Strong planning, judgment and decision‑making skills. Inventory management preparation. Effective leadership and mentorship, ensuring staff development. Time‑management and prioritization skills. Strong organization and planning skills. Experience Previous retail management experience. Ability to drive the business, lead by example, and support corporate programs. Effective teamwork with management. Superior interpersonal, coaching and communication skills. Business and financial acumen. Relationship building with key internal and external agencies.
