Arena Pro-Shop Associate (Part-time)

The Arena Pro-Shop Associate is responsible for all sales activities from greeting customers, sharpening skates, minor equipment repairs, answering questions, offering assistance, suggesting items, lending opinions when asked and providing extensive product information. This individual will help to promote a positive store environment that sets the bar for the retail service industry.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Work with the General Manager to ensure that the pro-shop is following protocols
- Deliver superior customer service that ensures ongoing sales and high levels of customer satisfaction
- Determine customer needs and recommend products to meet their needs
- Ensure sales floor is clean and organized
- Keep the sales floor stocked with merchandise
- Develop and cultivate strong buying relationships with customers
- Stay up to date with promotional events, sales and current products
- Available to work a variety of hours, which may include mornings, evenings and weekends
- Ensure Front Row sharpening protocol is consistently followed
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment for safety reasons
- Other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications:

- Previous sales experience an asset
- Familiar with a POS system an asset
- Ability to sharpen skates an asset
- Strong communication skills
- Proven track record of achieving sales quotas
- Ability to handle pressure and multiple/strict deadlines
- Ability to stand for most of your shift, handle loud noises and dust debris from sharpener (PPE is provided)
- Enthusiastic, friendly and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service
- Maintain a professional attitude with customers and fellow employees

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 20 per week
