Description Responsibilities Develops and implements the data architecture for application development in a complex and distributed environment, including the determination of the flow and distribution of data, the location of databases, and data access methods. Skills Experience and Skill Set Requirements Technical Skills 30%: Experience creating physical database designs and operating and experience administering database management systems (DBMS) including database optimization, capacity planning, installation and migration, database design, performance tuning, backup and recovery. Experience cloud environments especially Azure. Extensive hands-on experience in Azure SQL Database, proficiency in T-SQL, understanding of SQL maintenance and audit, user and permissions management, performance management and tuning. Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factories, Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Oracle DBMS, Big Data/Data Lake/Hadoop; certifications are an asset. Experience with SSIS, SSRS, Talend, Informatica, etc. Experience with NoSQL databases and formats (JSON, XML). Experience 30%: Experience in programming languages, cloud development, microservices architecture, data migrations, query languages, database rules enforcement, incident/change/configuration management, communication protocols, distributed data systems, middleware, cybersecurity, information management, database administration, data warehouse design, automation, object-oriented analysis, enterprise architecture, impact analysis, patches, and vendor collaboration. Communication Skills (10%) Strong documentation and presentation skills; ability to communicate technical designs clearly; high customer service orientation. Must Have Experience creating physical database designs, administering DBMS, Azure cloud environments, Azure SQL Database, T-SQL, SQL maintenance, and audit; certifications are a plus.
