Senior Data Architect / Data Modeller
Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite)

Pay Rate: CAD$90/Hr-CAD$100/Hr

Overview
Seeking a Senior Data Architect/Data Modeller to advance enterprise data management and metadata practices. The role supports the implementation of metadata management tools, improves data quality and interoperability, and aligns data architecture with enterprise strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement enterprise data architecture with a focus on metadata management
  • Define common business vocabulary and strategic data requirements
  • Develop high-level integrated data models aligned with business and enterprise architecture
  • Review conceptual, logical, and physical data models for quality and standards compliance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support data governance and interoperability

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in solution design, system integration, or platform delivery in complex digital environments
  • Proven experience working with cross-functional teams (clinical, product, development)
  • Strong data modelling, documentation, and facilitation skills
  • Broad knowledge of architectural domains (business, application, infrastructure, privacy, security)

Required Skills

  • Hands-on experience with data modelling tools (e.g., ERwin, Visio, PowerDesigner)
  • Knowledge of metadata structures, data dictionaries, and repository functions
  • Experience enforcing data modelling and normalization standards
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Awareness of emerging information and technology trends

Nice to Have

  • Experience with metadata management platforms (e.g., Informatica)
  • Knowledge of information management principles and reference vocabularies
