The Design Systems Lead will join a Global Design group that contributes to a range of product and strategic initiatives by participating in every aspect of the design process, from discovery and ideation, to prototyping, testing, iterating and product launch. The position is based in Toronto and may require some international travel to other Citco locations. The Design Systems Lead will report to the Design Director, and interact with business stakeholders, and technical groups. Through our network of global development centers, Citco invests heavily in technology innovation to ensure our clients continue to receive award-winning products that underpin our commitment to service excellence. Responsibilities Lead the implementation of a new Design System for Citco’s customer and employee facing digital experiences Become an authority on Citco's design language, setting standards for our design system and how systems thinking is embedded within Citco’s design practice Lead designer for scalable, re-usable front-end UI components that will be shared across the Citco ecosystem Incorporate input from the Creative Director on the aesthetic direction, and style guide for the Design System Create, define, and maintain the governance model and documentation for the Design System Create, design, test and document UI components, experience patterns, and design tokens Consult various design engagements to ensure consistency across various experiences Liaison with design system champions across all regions to ensure adoption, growth and compliance Collaborate with CX, Product, and Platform Managers to align design system updates with feature needs Engage in supporting a design pod and support various designers in the creative process to ensure alignment with product goals Be part of a challenging and rewarding role in an award-winning global business Opportunities for personal and professional career development Great working environment, competitive salary and benefits, and opportunities for educational support Be part of an industry leading global team, renowned for excellence Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, relevant experience or certifications in a related area 5+ years of experience in digital product design or systems design as an individual contributor 2+ years of leading and maintaining a design system Experience with Material Design and MUI Experience building and maintaining complex design systems from scratch Experience being part of or leading a successful team/project in a hybrid environment Strong communication skills to build interdepartmental relationships Love working on finer details but know when to prioritize progress over perfection Ability to advise and influence stakeholders through reasoning Our Benefits Your well-being is of paramount importance to us, and central to our success.
