This is an exceptional leadership opportunity to lead a research‑intensive library system on two campuses at a time of institutional innovation and strategic growth. This is a full‑time, five‑year renewable appointment, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026. Reporting to the Provost and Vice‑President Academic, and a member of the Deans Council, the Dean of Libraries will provide system‑level leadership across both campuses, overseeing university archives, copyright, and research data management while guiding a network of campus libraries that serve an interdisciplinary and collegial academic community. Key Responsibilities Provide system‑level leadership across both campuses and guide the network of campus libraries. Oversee university archives, copyright, and research data management. Advance digital transformation, open scholarship, and research‑data stewardship. Manage the adoption of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, within library services. Foster an inclusive, service‑oriented culture that promotes equity, diversity, and inclusion. Provide strategic planning, budget stewardship, and people management in a multi‑unionized environment. Qualifications MLIS from an ALA‑accredited institution and a minimum of 10 years of progressive senior academic leadership experience in research‑focused academic libraries. Track record in strategic planning, budget stewardship, and people management. Experience developing state‑of‑the‑art library spaces and services. Demonstrated commitment to Indigenous engagement, equity, diversity, and inclusion within the university community. Excellent emotional intelligence and collaborative academic leadership skills.
