LeverageTek is actively seeking a Business Analyst (IT Infrastructure / Cloud) for a 4-Month contract with its customer in the Ottawa/Gatineau Region.

Key Tasks

  • Critically evaluate business requirements gathered from multiple sources and identify the underlying business needs
  • Assess and validate various IT Infrastructure and Cloud technology solutions in order to document gap analysis with recommendations
  • Facilitate sessions, interviews, and analysis to identify areas for process and systems improvements
  • Prepare Business Requirements Documents (BRDs}, including functional and non-functional requirements
  • Ensure knowledge transfer to users by providing complete and updated documentation and by identifying appropriate training needs
  • Ensure awareness and approval for releases, enhancement, defects and any other changes that impact vendor system and processes.
  • Ensure alignment with the organizations IT Operations strategy, SDLC process and support the coordination and integration of the IT Infrastructure and Cloud technology with all other IT processes.
  • Assist with implementing and facilitating change management within assigned projects and day to day operational requirements related to the organizations transition to a new vendor.
  • Define IT Service requirements and develop processes.
  • Engage Subject Matter Expert (SME) guidance of IT systems to create awareness and adoption of technical processes and business groups.
  • Provides cost effective and timely on-boarding for clients/users/vendors to the organizations IT systems.
  • Support the design of effective end-to-end service management solutions that drive business value across complex business processes.

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-8+ years experience as an IT Business Analyst with a focus on IT infrastructure and Cloud day to day operations and projects. (includes a strong knowledge of Networking / Operating Systems / Cyber Security / Cloud Platforms etc.)
  • Recent and demonstrated experience in a Business Analyst capacity supporting the transition and integration of a new 3rd party Infrastructure / Cloud Services vendor including migration of users to the new vendor services platform.
  • Strong experience in a Business Analyst capacity supporting the manual testing process related to the migration and integration of new services from an existing 3rd party Cloud / Infrastructure vendor to a new vendor.

Assets

  • CBAP designation would be an asset
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification is an asset
  • Strong foundational technical knowledge of networking, operating systems, cloud platforms, cyber security, security operations etc. is an asset
  • Experience with ITSM tools and processes is an asset
  • Strong background and knowledge of UAT and Systems Integration (SI Testing)
