What Will Your Next Role Look Like?

The Content Editor & Strategist play a crucial role in shaping the content landscape of our film platform. This role requires a film lover and strategic thinker with writing and editing skills, capable of managing content creators, film critics, and content planning to ensure high-quality content that aligns with our platform positioning. The ideal candidate is experienced in content operation, management, community engagement, and film criticism, with a keen understanding of industry trends and SEO principles.

Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Planning

  • Develops and implements content strategiesplatform'swith the platform’s goals, including topic selection, content planning, and platform user activity and retention activation.
  • Establishes clear criteria for writing challenges, topic selection, and platform content to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Analyzes content trends worldwide in Film & TV industries and integrates them into content strategies.

Content Quality & Management

  • Ensures and defines the quality of content on the platform by establishing standards and guidelines.
  • Reviews, ranks, and scores articles based on established criteria, from best to worst quality levels.
  • Filters fraudulent articles and ensures only genuine, high-quality content is promoted on the platform.
  • Discovers, assesses, and recommends high-quality articles to improve user retention and activity.

Content Creator Management

  • Manages and supports content creators, guiding them from regular users to high-level contributors through strategic planning and engagement.
  • Oversees the recruitment and management of content creators, ensuring a consistent flow of quality content.
  • Plans strategies to motivate users to contribute more to the platform, enhance the content-creating community, and foster a positive atmosphere.

Film Critic Management

  • Recruits, manages, and collaborates with external film critics.
  • Stay updated on trending topics and films in the Film & TV international industries to guide content planning and critic recruitment.

Community Engagement & Operations

  • Builds and nurtures a co-creation community, enhancing user enthusiasm and participation in content production.
  • Oversees the daily content creation operations and tracks the performance/engagement of articles on the platform.
  • Fosters a positive community atmosphere by encouraging users to produce quality content and participate actively.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Film and Television, Writing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in magazine editing, website content editing, writing, or scriptwriting.
  • Proficient in English communication and speaking and has excellent media writing skills. Spanish or Portuguese will be a plus.
  • Proven experience in content management, with a successful track record of building and managing self-media accounts.
  • Advanced computer skills with experience in website content operation.
  • Basic understanding of SEO and marketing principles.
  • Knowledge of trends in the worldwide Film & TV industries.

Personal Attributes

  • Passionate about film, television, and streaming content, with a deep industry knowledge.
  • Ability to analyze content and implement strategies to enhance user engagement and content quality.
  • Experience studying abroad or working as a journalist at international film festivals is a bonus.
