Lead Site Reliability Administrator at OpenText OpenText is a global leader in information management, driving digital transformation through AI‑powered solutions. The Site Reliability Administrator role focuses on building solutions that enhance the availability, performance, and stability of OpenText services within a cloud Dev‑Ops organization. Responsibilities Use technical knowledge, creativity, and company practices to drive down incident occurrences through proactive monitoring and alerting. Provide incident attention according to Service Level Agreements. Give continuous feedback to development teams on system stability, defect analysis, and enhancements. Develop runbooks and patterns to sustain applications in production. Participate in technical discussions and drive transition to sustain activities with development teams. Work with IT business and development partners to gather input for new capabilities in monitoring and alerting key performance indicators (KPIs) via real‑time business transaction tracking. Take ownership of the incident resolution process, participating in RCA and SWAT investigations. Plan validation and verification of changes deployed by infrastructure and development teams. Provide real‑time advanced technical support and troubleshooting for issues reported by users/customers. Require rotating shift work as needed. Maintain on‑call rotation for 7x24x365 support. Qualifications Strong expertise in Linux systems with advanced scripting in Shell, Python, Perl, or JavaScript. Hands‑on experience with cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure) and PaaS technologies such as Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, and BOSH. Solid operational experience with containerization (Docker, rkt, Mesos) and microservices/RESTful architectures. Proficiency in Continuous Delivery and automation tools (GitOps, Ansible, Rundeck, Argo CD) for efficient deployment pipelines. Experience supporting middleware and application stacks (Apache, Tomcat, Spring, Java‑based frameworks). Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MariaDB) and NoSQL (Cassandra) for reliable data performance. Skilled in monitoring and observability tools (New Relic, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Zabbix, check_mk) and centralized logging (Graylog, Kibana). Familiarity with messaging and search technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Solr, Elasticsearch). Strong problem‑diagnosis skills in high‑throughput applications, with security best practices and ITIL principles. Leadership and collaboration skills to drive scalable solutions and manage priorities across cross‑functional teams. On‑call rotation and 24/7 support are required; rotating shift work may be needed.
