Responsibilities The incumbent is responsible for providing strategic and operational support to the COO and members of the Winnipeg Integrated Health and Social Services Senior Management Team. Leads and is responsible for effective service delivery of various WRHA Clinical Programs and Services within the Geographic Area. Leads the nursing profession and ensures the development of and adherence to professional ethics and standards of nursing practice throughout the geographic area. Focuses on integration of acute and community programs and services and continual improvement of patient/client care. Qualifications and Education Master’s degree in Nursing or related healthcare field required. Seven (7) years of progressively responsible management and leadership experience within nursing and healthcare administration. Experience in community health or social services preferred. Extensive experience in service delivery and business operations. Experience in establishing detailed annual operational plans. Experience in human resource management, financial management and quality improvement required. Experience with facilities management is desirable. Experience in process improvement methodologies such as LEAN is an asset. Skills and Abilities Ability to lead and participate in both short and long-term planning. Ability to work in a complex environment with various acute and community departments and programs. Ability to administer policies of two organizations (WRHA and Family Services & Labour) and manage programs, services and staff across two employers. Ability to work with all levels of staff, management, and professionals in diverse groups and across sectors. Ability to promote and support integration of services. Strong leadership, creativity, integrity, initiative and communication skills. Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills. Strong collaborative, interpersonal and team-building skills. Strong client/patient focus. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Requirements and Conditions Current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check required as a condition of employment.
