Job Duties We are looking to recruit an experienced geostatistician who will bring their expertise to the cutting-edge science behind one of our fastest-rising cloud applications. This role involves applying complex geostatistical algorithms within a cloud infrastructure. Create and maintain advanced geostatistical algorithms in a cloud environment Optimize existing algorithms for accuracy and performance Implement algorithms using Java and Restful APIs within microservices Communicate technical information effectively Adhere to coding best practices to ensure high quality Stay updated on emerging technologies Report issues clearly and promptly Qualifications 10+ years of experience in geostatistics and software development Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Geosciences, Geology, Geophysics, or Reservoir Engineering Strong knowledge of spatial statistics, variograms, and simulation techniques Experience with GIS tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) Proficiency in coding geostatistical algorithms in Java Experience with microservices, RESTful APIs, Docker, and cloud technologies Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Leadership experience is a plus Excellent communication skills and ability to work in diverse, multi-time-zone teams Knowledge of AI tools and technologies Understanding of modern cloud architectures and microservices Experience with AI/ML frameworks (Python, TensorFlow, etc.) Experience in the Oil and Gas industry Candidates with qualifications exceeding minimum requirements may be considered for higher roles based on experience, additional requirements, and business needs.
