Art Director BUGATCHI's Montreal office is seeking a highly skilled, technical creative with a passion for building brand universes for luxury menswear company. The Art Director will be responsible setting the seasonal art direction while overseeing the production and execution of the marketing and advertising communications that live across multiple platforms and channels globally. This position is based in Montreal. Essential Functions & Responsibilities : Deep knowledge & production experience with integrated and digital campaigns. Strong knowledge in industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator and the rest of the Adobe Creative Suite. Very strong UX/UI fundamentals such as information architecture, interaction design, and accessibility standards. Ability to work closely with site developers as well as contribute with coding and coding possibilities while constantly working with e-commerce and marketing teams to improve site experience. Attention to detail and a strong eye for composition, layout, and design systems. Strong communication and presentation skills-able to defend design decisions and incorporate feedback effectively Flexibility and problem-solving skills to adapt designs based on technical constraints, user needs, and business priorities. Desire to push visual design forward within brand guidelines. Collaborate with and other cross functional departments to create a range of brand content and campaign deliverables. Be an active partner is retail and in-store events and activations, both in brand-owned stores and other retail partners. Strong attention to detail and with ability to manage graphic/digital designers. Confidently lead a high volume of photo and video productions, interacting with internal and external partners with clarity and professionalism, including management of seasonal e-commerce shoots. Follow through with content post-production across dynamic deliverables. Manage retouching to a high standard and taste level. Ensure that all projects are within deadlines and budget constraints. Be a key resource for creating the brand's website, email, and other marketing assets. Develop digital design content for homepage creative updates, digital advertising (display ads, social ads, native ads, etc.), and emails. Manage product imagery for web (asset management and editing/retouching). Ensure that digital creative remains on brand, innovative, and cohesive. Conduct image research for multiple projects and coordinate proper asset management. Service other requests as needed, which may include: creative assistance with brand decks, development of print collateral. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or related field. At least 4 years experience as an Art Director or Senior Graphic and/or Digital Designer. Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Bridge, After Effects). Excellent knowledge of graphic design principles, including; typography, color theory, layout (Content Hierarchy, Whitespace & Rhythm). A deep interest in and understanding of interactive design and associated issues. Ability to ideate strong concepts and demonstrated ability to implement and execute concepts. Superior attention to detail. Highly organized and flexible and able to think and work beyond the brief. Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal, visual and written communication skills; ability to collaborate with internal and external teams. Positive attitude with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Work well under tight deadlines, is flexible, is reactive and understands how to prioritize. Experience in multi-channel and multi-device UI design. A thorough understanding of current web and mobile technologies. Experience working in a collaborative development process. Strong knowledge of Figma. Can effectively cope with change and shift gears comfortably. Must be a highly motivated results oriented individual self-starter, capable to oversee a tight team and a passion for growing a luxury minded menswear brand. Significant experience working with retouching. Candidates must be legal authorized to work in Canada.
