Claims Processing Analyst

Job overview
The Processing Analyst (PA) role is responsible for servicing clients by resolving ongoing issues including conducting research, analyzing provisions, and translating provisions to the ongoing processing environment. The PA resolves ongoing issues and performs some manual calculations/processes that may not be automated. The PA creates ad hoc reports in support of client service delivery functions. The PA reports directly to the Operations Manager (OM).
Responsibilities :
- Process claims adjudication
- Answer member, broker and administrator calls with high customer service
- Fill claims and cheque fulfillment
- Produce monthly billing statements
- Process monthly reports through SQL
- Assist in managing escalations on claims questions or system issues
- Process commissions, create statements and manage broker payments by direct deposit
- Other processing tasks assigned by manager, as needed
Personal Attributes:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong listening and interpersonal skills
- Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize own work
Education & Experience:
- Working knowledge of benefits related laws and regulations strongly preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, like Excel and Word
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
