Qualified Indigenous applicants may be considered for open vacancies or added to the Indigenous Talent Network. Responsibilities Manage trust or agency accounts in the role of trustee. Support the Relationship Manager with assigned clients and collaborate with the client/relationship team. Review and interpret trust documents to ensure compliance. Assess assets for risk identification. Work with stakeholders to ensure proper documentation and administrative decisions. Support the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Build effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders. Ensure alignment between stakeholders. Monitor and track performance, addressing any issues. Produce regular and ad‑hoc reports, updating dashboards. Review requests with the Relationship Manager to assist in discretionary decision‑making. Cross‑train team members for coverage and contingency. Provide input into the planning and implementation of operational programs. Execute work to deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service. Set up and maintain Trust accounts, ensuring compliance requirements are met within acceptable time frames. Provide support in audits and compliance reviews as assigned. Identify and escalates all irregularities and discrepancies to management. Perform sales and service support activities to meet client needs and maintain overall service levels. Provide administrative support, including financial reports, asset & account reconciliation, compliance, fee collection and related activities. Meet high‑quality service standards to maximize relationship retention and growth. Develop rapport, instill confidence, and earn client trust. Follow risk and compliance processes and policies, safeguarding customer assets and privacy. Protect the Bank’s assets and comply with all regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements. Focus primarily on the BMO business/group; may have broader, enterprise‑wide focus. Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules. Work independently on a range of complex tasks, including unique situations. Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed. Qualifications Typically between 4–6 years of relevant experience and a post‑secondary degree or equivalent education and experience. Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related legal or accounting field preferred. Strong knowledge of Trust Administration processes and procedures. Strong knowledge and proficiency with Excel and designing/updating trust distribution spreadsheets. Broad knowledge of Trust Tax, Trust Accounting, and Investment Management. Broad knowledge of fiduciary laws, including trust planning techniques and relevant tax regulations. Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong collaboration and team skills. In‑depth analytical and problem‑solving skills. In‑depth influence skills. Data‑driven decision‑making skills. Salary: $56,000.00 – $103,500.00 (Salaried). Salaries may vary based on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications. The pay range includes a potential commission component for commission‐eligible roles. BMO offers health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
