What You’ll Be Doing As a Trust Officer, you will be responsible for the ongoing account management and administration of Estates, Trusts and Powers of Attorney. You will partner with a specialized team within Wealth Management to ensure timely, accurate and professional administration of moderate‑complexity accounts, identifying and mitigating account risks while adhering to CIBC Trust Policies & Procedures, including cash management, fee collection and account opening. You will have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid arrangement: 2‑3 days per week on‑site, the remainder remote. How You’ll Succeed Collaboration – Develop and maintain strong partnerships with clients and beneficiaries to provide excellent service. Communicate effectively with internal experts from Investment Management and Tax, and with external professionals as needed. Trust & Estate Acumen – Onboard and manage accounts in alignment with client needs and estate/trust characteristics, ensuring compliance and resolving operational, technical and discretionary issues. Coaching and Mentoring – Supervise the workflow of a Trust Administrator, provide technical assistance, and champion CIBC’s mission, vision and values. Who You Are 4–8 years of experience in the Estate & Trust industry with knowledge of accounting and investing for moderately complex accounts. Certainly a certified professional. An asset if you hold MTI and/or TEP designations. Relationship‑driven, inspiring outcomes through communication and networking. Analytical and detail‑oriented, able to investigate complex problems and convey findings effectively. Motivated to succeed and deliver high impact.
