What You'll Do As a Data Analyst, you will analyze well‑defined data sets using a variety of tools to uncover tangible insights. You will develop customer‑facing products from analysis, collaborate closely with Data & Analytics Teams, and support operational projects championed by the Operations team. Your work will influence strategic decisions and foster data‑driven culture across the organization. How You'll Make An Impact Examine large data sets to identify trends, create charts, and build visual dashboards and presentations. Conduct code reviews following prescribed standards and practices within our data environment. Ensure easy access to sorted data for internal and external teams. Enhance and uphold documentation standards for architecture, requirements, and process flows. Use statistical tools to interpret data sets and prepare reports communicating trends, patterns, and predictions. Write SQL queries to answer complex business questions. Implement data quality checks to guarantee accuracy, consistency, and reliability. Process, cleanse, and verify data integrity for analysis. Apply data mining, model building, and other analytical techniques to support internal initiatives. Provide meaningful insight to technical departments using datasets. Collaborate with data scientists on machine learning models built for Geotab’s big‑data environment. Liaise with stakeholders to understand business and technical goals. Work with big data tools and techniques for deriving value from large datasets. Partner with business analysts to arrive at data solutions. Function effectively both independently and as part of a team. Design databases and craft queries. What You'll Bring to the Role 1‑3 years of experience as a Data Analyst or related role. Post‑secondary diploma or degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with SQL. Experience with data science tools (e.g., Python, Pandas, NumPy) and BI tools such as Superset, Redash, Power BI, or Tableau. Benefits Flex working arrangements. Home‑office reimbursement program.
