Structural Engineer - Centre Block Project Location: Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada Job Description Join WSP as a structural engineer for the Centre Block Rehabilitation Project. Centre Block is our most iconic heritage building and a symbol of Canadian democracy, containing the House of Commons and Senate Chambers, as well as offices for MPs, senators and senior administrators. The project is a long‑term renovation, rehabilitation and rejuvenation of national importance within the Parliamentary Precinct. WSP, in joint venture, provides multidisciplinary consultancy services including structural design and contract administration. The scope extends beyond Centre Block and the Peace Tower to include a large multi‑level below‑grade Visitor Welcome Centre and 30 related enabling work projects. This role can be based in any WSP Office location in Ontario; however, it will require a Reliability clearance as this is a Government Project. What you can expect to do Perform engineering calculations, design and assessments of steel, concrete, and masonry structures Manage and coordinate projects with clients and other disciplines Prepare technical reports, presentations, and structural design packages Occasionally visit the site for structural assessments and site support What you’ll bring to WSP Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural design and analysis of buildings (Master or Ph.D. in seismic design/analysis is an asset) Familiarity with the National Building Code of Canada and Canadian material design standards Excellent written and verbal communication skills 5+ years of experience in structural design of buildings Proficiency in the CSI analytical software suite (ETABS, SAFE, SAP) and AutoCAD/Revit is an asset Ability to obtain PSPC Reliability clearance Benefits We offer attractive pay, flexible work options, a supportive corporate culture, comprehensive employee‑focused benefits including virtual healthcare and a wellness platform, and great savings programs.
