Strategic Sourcing Manager We are looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our Purchasing Team North America. The incumbent will lead the North American sourcing strategy initiatives for an assigned Category and drive best‑practice procurement across all business units. About the Opportunity The role supports the strategic sourcing function, supporting teamwork, joint learning and development initiatives. Responsibilities Develop local and regional sourcing strategies for the Category, using historical spend data and sourcing new suppliers. Achieve budget objectives by identifying and supporting North American sourcing strategy initiatives. Implement and manage the strategy, ensuring each Business Unit’s needs are met. Own the bid process: analyze cost drivers, qualify vendors, tender, negotiate, and manage contracts. Provide pricing specifications, vendor listings and negotiate at the global level with Lactalis senior procurement team. Lead cross‑functional teams to design and implement sourcing strategies. Execute negotiation cost‑saving initiatives. Act as a subject‑matter expert, providing insight for process optimization and pricing improvements. Develop supplier relationships to optimize quality, performance, and total cost of ownership. Track cost‑saving initiatives and provide monthly status reports. Deliver market insight and risk forecasts to divisions. Participate in Strategic Sourcing team activities and learning initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related discipline. 5–10 years of procurement experience, preferably in a food company. Experience in industrial and/or supply chain purchasing is preferred. Initiative, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to influence others. Confidence presenting to small and medium‑size groups and leadership. Consultative, customer‑centric approach that drives collaboration. Highly focused, proactive, with strong planning, project management and execution skills. Data‑driven analytical capability and ability to present data to leadership. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified constraints. Adaptable in a changing work environment. French/English bilingualism is an asset.
