Lead Data Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data Engineer (12- Month Contract) with a strong background in Databricks and Snowflake. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing our data infrastructure, ensuring the efficient and reliable flow of data across various systems. This role requires a deep understanding of data architecture, ETL processes, and cloud data platforms.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Databricks or Snowflake.
  • Design and implement data models, schemas, and databases that meet business requirements
  • Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to enhance performance and reduce costs
  • Monitor and improve the performance of data pipelines and queries
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data processing and storage


Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with Databricks, including Spark and Delta Lake.
  • Strong proficiency in Snowflake, including data warehousing concepts and SQL.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python or Scala for data processing.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools such as Git.
