Our successes are built on values such as creativity, integrity, inclusiveness and relevance. Responsibilities The Media Solutions team needs a highly driven and passionate Sales Manager. The role involves the comprehensive development of short‑term tactical and long‑term strategic sales plans, focusing on entering new markets and leveraging emerging platforms to reach a broader audience and capitalize on innovative distribution channels. You will lead revenue growth and market expansion by identifying, targeting and maximizing all potential revenue opportunities, particularly in new markets. You will direct account management practices, promote CBC/Radio‑Canada to develop and maintain industry relationships, stay abreast of industry trends and new technologies, and build and nurture lasting relationships with key business partners. Present proposals, prepare revenue and market activity reports, and manage strategic account planning and bi‑weekly revenue forecasts for new ventures. Qualifications Post‑secondary degree/diploma or equivalent with an emphasis on business or marketing preferred. Five to ten years of progressive experience in the digital advertising industry, with a proven track record in new business development and a strong understanding of emerging digital platforms. Broadcast experience is a strong asset. Extensive knowledge of all aspects of media sales, sales administration, and marketing functions, with expertise in identifying and capitalizing on new revenue streams. Excellent negotiation skills and a solid track record of securing new business and platform partnerships. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google products and other computer tools. Ability to review and assimilate research and market conditions into coherent sales strategies, focusing on new business opportunities and emerging technologies. Demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure, juggle multiple deadlines, and act strategically to support business objectives in fast‑evolving markets. Strong business management and strategic marketing skills to guide new business development analysis and manage revenue forecasting for new initiatives. Superior verbal and written communication skills, including presentation abilities for pitching new concepts and platforms. Proven ability to lead and manage a team, fostering a culture of learning that drives individual development and adapts to new business models and technologies. Experience in a unionized environment is a strong asset. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential given the level of data reviewed. Ability to balance organizational needs with client requests using listening skills, tact and diplomacy. Ability to exercise independent judgment, initiative and solve problems related to pioneering new business areas. Bilingual (English and French) is considered a strong asset.
