Position Overview:

As a Senior UX Designer at Air Miles, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing intuitive, engaging experiences that redefine how our collectors interact with rewards. Working across multi-functional teams, you’ll own the end-to-end design process, from shaping ideas to delivering polished solutions that bring value to millions. You’re someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, leveraging both creative and analytical skills to transform insights into seamless, user-centered interfaces.

You’ll tackle complex design challenges, lead design decisions, and champion user needs at every stage, while helping elevate the quality and consistency of our digital products. This role is ideal for a seasoned designer who’s passionate about creating impactful experiences and wants to play a hands-on role in shaping the future of loyalty rewards in Canada. With each project, you’ll collaborate with talented peers and mentors, continually pushing the boundaries of what’s possible for our collectors.


Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Project Leadership : Lead the UX design process for complex projects, developing user flows, journey maps, prototyping and designs aligned with both business goals and user needs.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with product, engineering, and analytics teams to align designs with business requirements, technical feasibility, and data-driven insights. Advocate for user-centered solutions in strategic discussions.
  • Lead Research Efforts: Conduct and analyze user research and usability tests, using insights to drive design decisions and advocate for user-centered solutions across teams.
  • Complex Prototyping & Interaction Design : Design advanced, high-fidelity prototypes that demonstrate sophisticated interactions and user flows. Ensure visual and interactive elements are intuitive and aligned with Air Miles’ brand.
  • Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Mentor junior and intermediate designers, offering guidance on best practices, design tools, and project workflows. Conduct design critiques to uphold quality.
  • Contribute to Design System: Actively contribute to our design system, ensuring a cohesive look, feel, and functionality across Air Miles’ digital products.





Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of experience in UX design, with a robust portfolio that demonstrates a deep understanding of user-centered design principles and successful project outcomes.
  • Advanced proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite, and a proven ability to create high-fidelity prototypes and design systems.
  • Expertise in conducting user research and usability testing, with the ability to analyze data and translate findings into compelling design solutions.
  • Strong visual and interaction design skills, with a track record of creating engaging, user-friendly interfaces that drive business goals.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and facilitating discussions with stakeholders.
  • A demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior and intermediate designers, fostering a culture of creativity and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Strategic thinking skills to align design initiatives with business objectives and user needs, ensuring a cohesive and effective user experience.
