Overview (Backend Engineer) – Tech (Java, Spring Boot Required) Location: Toronto, Canada, but open to Latin America, Mexico, and Brazil – Hybrid/Remote Duration: Long-term Contract Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain scalable, highly available user-facing applications and RESTful APIs. Utilize HTML/CSS, UI Frameworks, Node.js, Java, and Scala in system development. Commit to a continuous integration and deployment pipeline for efficient delivery. Engage in technical discussions, influence decision-making, and share your technical expertise. Job Requirements BS/BA in Computer Science or related field with 8+ years of professional experience, or MS with 6+ years of relevant experience. Strong experience with: Proven ability to build web applications and RESTful APIs. Proficiency in UI frameworks such as React and backend frameworks such as Spring MVC / Spring Boot . Strong understanding of core computer science principles – data structures and algorithms. Exposure to GraphQL and experience building GraphQL APIs is desirable. Contributions to open source projects, GitHub repos, or side projects are a plus. Mandatory for Client Must have tech languages: Java, spring boot These two skillsets are required. No candidates should be submitted if they lack these skillsets. Must have strong communication skills. They need to be able to work with multiple stakeholders and lead without authority. They will need to be available for team stand ups and hours of operations to allow for collaboration.
