SharePoint Migration Architect

The SharePoint Migration Architect will play a key role in supporting the CLIENT IM/IT development team in its ongoing migration from SharePoint 2016 On-Premises to SharePoint Online (SPO). This position focuses on planning, designing, and executing large-scale migration activities, optimizing processes, and ensuring seamless integration with existing Azure functions. The architect will work closely with the SharePoint Online Migration project team to deliver a secure, efficient, and well-documented migration aligned with CLIENT standards. Responsibilities Lead and support migration activities from SharePoint 2016 On-Premises to SharePoint Online using ShareGate migration tools. Configure and optimize ShareGate for large-scale migrations, including managing throttling, delta migrations, and error resolution. Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts (including PnP PowerShell) for automation of migration tasks and post-migration processes. Collaborate with CLIENT technical teams to ensure all work adheres to best practices and organizational standards. Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Provide knowledge transfer and detailed documentation for CLIENT development teams, including environment setup and script usage. Participate in sprint reviews, team meetings, and provide regular status updates to project leads. Status reports on migration progress and issues. Configured ShareGate migration tool aligned with project requirements. Developed or updated PowerShell scripts for migration and automation tasks. Validated migration of investigation workspaces, shared drive folders, and public folders. Documentation of processes, issues, and resolutions in Azure DevOps. Knowledge transfer sessions with CLIENT development team. Mandatory Requirements Advanced experience (within the past 4 years) in planning, designing, and managing migrations from SharePoint On-Premises (2013, 2016, or 2019) to SharePoint Online using ShareGate as an application/software architect. Development experience (within the past 4 years) with SharePoint Online as an application/software architect. Rated Requirements Proven ability to configure and optimize ShareGate for large-scale migrations, including job setup, throttling management, delta migrations, and error handling. Experience developing ShareGate PowerShell scripts (including PnP PowerShell) stored in Azure DevOps Git repos for site migration, metadata transformation, permissions handling, and automation of post-migration tasks. #J-18808-Ljbffr
