Job Description SharePoint Migration Project Manager Description: The SharePoint Engineering team is responsible for building the SharePoint platform for firm-wide collaboration, application hosting, and development—both internal and external. Our work involves enhancing vendor offerings, filling gaps, and influencing the product roadmap. The candidate will be part of a team responsible for designing, engineering, and rolling out the SharePoint platform, addressing deficiencies, integrating with other systems, developing solutions, and providing application design and consulting. The role involves working with cutting-edge technologies and accessing non-public, vendor, and product breakthroughs. We seek a SharePoint Migration Project Manager with a strong understanding of SharePoint sites and organizational skills to manage the migration of SharePoint 2007 sites to a SharePoint 2010 farm. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, highly organized, and capable of working with a globally dispersed team and clients managing over 40,000 sites. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the role involves interfacing with stakeholders from associates to VPs, EDs, and MDs, who may be business owners or technical admins. The candidate will handle planning, scheduling, communication, sign-offs, and status reporting with site owners and the engineering team. They will also serve as the liaison for issue escalation between site owners and the engineering and operations teams. Towards the end of the migration, there will be a site consolidation project and a smaller migration to upgrade remaining sites that were initially not eligible for the shared platform. Skills Required: 20% technical proficiency / 80% project management and coordination Extensive migration experience of SP2007 sites Project management experience coordinating with over 40,000 site owners Excellent communication, coordination, planning, and scheduling skills Ability to provide proper status and progress updates Capability to execute tasks independently Issue tracking and escalation skills Strong client communication skills across all officer levels Excellent problem-solving skills Strong understanding of web technologies Detail-oriented Public speaking skills for training sessions Deep understanding of SharePoint 2007 and 2010, including underlying technologies Experience with SSO (SiteMinder, NTLM/Kerberos) Knowledge of HTML, CSS, XML, XSLT, CAML Experience with SharePoint Designer sites and remediation Experience with Metalogix Migration software #J-18808-Ljbffr
