Senior Recruiter (Contract to Hire) Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada | Salary: CA$115,000.00-CA$160,000.00 About The Opportunity Reporting directly to one of our cofounders, you will partner closely with senior leaders and own our most critical searches across a variety of business functions at Jerry.ai. We are a pre‑IPO startup building the first super app to help people save time and money on their car. The role is a full-time contract position with an opportunity to convert to permanent employment based on performance. Why contract‑to‑perm Our hiring bar is extremely high. As recruiters we act as strategic operators who truly own and drive hiring. The contract phase lets both sides assess fit. You’ll see how we operate – high ownership, high impact, high expectations – and will know quickly if this is the right environment. If it is, you can become a permanent member in no more than 3 months. How You Will Make An Impact Own full‑cycle recruiting for mid‑to‑senior level searches, including leadership hiring, across product management, software engineering, data science, business operations, design & research, organic & paid growth, legal, people operations, finance, and more. Work closely with hiring leaders in the U.S. and Canada to develop effective recruiting strategies that meet ongoing growth needs. Mentor and support junior team members. Continuously review, reflect and iterate on recruiting and interviewing practices to optimize team efficiency without sacrificing quality. Who You Are You are a true partner to hiring leaders, always thinking about how to elevate talent density with each hire and drive the business forward. You are a high achiever who raises the bar for yourself and others. You are comfortable operating within defined parameters as well as in high‑ambiguity situations. You appreciate the complexity and nuance involved in delivering a stellar recruiting experience and are passionate about continuing to perfect your craft. Ideal Profile 5+ years of recruiting experience with progressively increasing complexity. Prior recruiting experience at fast‑growth startups for product management, design, or business operations is strongly preferred.
