You will be expected to develop an academic plan with clear deliverables at the 1‑, 3‑ and 5‑year marks. Clinical activities include: Perioperative care of children undergoing all types of surgical management, including neurosurgical, general/thoracic, plastic/craniofacial, orthopedic/spine, and otorhinolaryngology procedures Care of children undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as diagnostic/interventional radiology, gastrointestinal, oncology and burn injury management Participation in the Acute Pain Service, Pre‑Anesthesia Clinic, Simulation, Sedation services, Quality and Patient Safety, Bioinformatics, and various administrative roles within the Department and hospital Additional opportunities may include collaborative research supported through our affiliation with the SickKids Research Institute. Qualifications MD (or equivalent) with advanced fellowship training in pediatric anesthesia Eligibility for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or international equivalent) and for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario Strong clinical and educational background; ability to function proficiently in English Demonstrated ability to develop research and educational initiatives; a prepared academic plan is preferred Capable of obtaining or already holding an appropriate visa, if applicable Compensation Competitive salary range: $295,000 – $450,000 per year, with equal distribution of billing overages.
