Lecturer, Assistant, or Associate Professor - Neuromuscular Medicine Specialist The Department of Medicine at St. Michael’s Hospital, in conjunction with the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, is seeking a qualified full‑time academic neuromuscular specialist. The successful candidate will hold an MD degree and must be eligible for a Full‑time Clinical Academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer, Assistant, or Associate Professor at the University of Toronto. The position is a clinician‑teacher (CT) appointment, and the expected start date is July 1, 2026, or thereafter. Qualifications: MD degree Certification in Neurology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) 1–2 years of neuromuscular fellowship (or eligibility) with interest in an ambulatory EMG and neuromuscular clinic Experience or interest in myasthenia gravis; ability to diagnose and manage the full spectrum of neuromuscular disease Willingness to participate in general neurology call and ward duties proportionally to similar positions Ability to participate or lead in educational programs at SMH‑UHT and the University of Toronto; may serve as residency site director for 2–4 years if needed Responsibilities include clinical care, teaching, and research in neuromuscular medicine within the Division of Neurology, which has an international reputation in clinical research, education, and quality improvement. The role reports to the Head of the Division of Neurology at St. Michael’s Hospital. Estimated remuneration will be commensurate with academic rank, qualifications, and experience.
