Key Responsibilitiesb> Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to optimize cost, quality, and delivery for manufacturing materials and services. Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and mitigate supply chain risks. Manage supplier relationships, conduct performance reviews, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality departments to ensure timely availability of materials and adherence to specifications. Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and supply chain risks to inform purchasing strategies and minimize disruption. Optimize inventory levels of raw materials and components to support production schedules while minimizing holding costs. Implement and maintain purchasing policies and procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency. Recommended Qualifications Extensive experience (5+ years) in purchasing or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment. Proven ability to negotiate complex contracts, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost savings. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for purchasing and inventory management. Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and inventory control. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing and developing a purchasing team.
