Primary Job Title: UX Designer III Alternate / Related Job Titles: Senior UX Designer UX Product Designer Digital Experience Designer User Experience Designer Interaction Designer Location & Onsite Flexibility: Toronto, ON — Hybrid 160 Front Street West, Toronto, Ontario (3 days onsite currently; moving to 4 days onsite in 2026) Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 6 Months Start: As Soon As Possible Pay Rate: C$65–$70/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Extension Possible: Yes Conversion Possible: Yes Role Overview The UX Designer III will join Enterprise Innovation and Design team to support a Buying Platform initiative. This role is ideal for a customer-obsessed designer who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced enterprise environment and brings strong experience designing public-facing digital experiences , ideally within financial services. You will work closely with product, business, and design strategy partners to create intuitive, high-quality user experiences while advocating for the customer throughout the full project lifecycle. A Day in the Role Designing and iterating in Figma Collaborating with the hiring manager on design reviews Working closely with stakeholders to refine requirements and feedback Participating in and facilitating Design Thinking sessions Ensuring design intent is carried through execution Advocating for the user in planning, design, and delivery discussions Key Responsibilities Transform complex business problems into elegant, user-centric experiences Lead ideation, concept development, and experience innovation Create sketches, wireframes, specifications, prototypes, scenarios, and storyboards Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure design intent is achieved Advocate for the user throughout the entire project lifecycle Communicate design concepts, rationales, and detailed solutions clearly to diverse audiences Participate in usability testing, observational studies, and customer research Stay current with UX design methodologies, tools, and industry trends Contribute to shaping the strategic experience design approach for initiatives Required Experience & Skills (Must-Have) 5–7 years of experience as a UX Designer Degree in design or a related discipline (e.g., UX, HCI, design strategy, industrial design) Expert proficiency with Figma Strong ability to simplify and design complex user flows Proven experience delivering cross-channel digital experiences Strong user-centred problem-solving and prioritization skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to integrate feedback constructively Meticulous attention to detail and high design quality standards Compelling design portfolio (portfolio submission required) Nice-to-Have Financial services or banking experience Experience collaborating closely with development teams Proficiency with Axure and Adobe Creative Suite Understanding of web and mobile technologies Experience with usability testing and customer research Soft Skills Exceptional attention to detail Strong stakeholder collaboration and storytelling ability Proactive, organized, and analytical mindset Team & Work Environment Direct team size: 5–6 designers and collaborators Hybrid work environment supporting collaboration and flexibility Performance measured by quality of deliverables and outcomes Interview Process Two interview rounds Portfolio review required Client Overview Our client is a Top 10 bank in Canada and North America , providing comprehensive retail, commercial, wealth management, and wholesale banking services.
