Job Summary: The Chief Operating Officer will provide strategic leadership and direction forOshtugon Computers LP (“Oshtugon”), ensuring the achievement of business goals andobjectives. This role involves overseeing all aspects of Oshtugon Computers operations, includingsales, marketing, finance, community liaison and customer service. A key aspect will be to drivegrowth and profitability in the sale of Oshtugon Computers products (available through currentand additional supply chains) in existing retail locations as well as to Northern Ontario FirstNations, First Nation organizations and First Nation businesses. Key Responsibilities: Liaise with the First Nation communities and programs, First Nation organizations, FirstNation Businesses and private businesses in Northwestern Ontario. Develop and implement Oshtugon Computers strategic plan to achieve business goals andobjectives. Oversee Oshtugon Computers operations to ensure efficiency, quality, service, and costeffective management of resources. Communicate and collaborate with General Manager to control spending, budgeting,reporting, and operational excellence. Establish and maintain key relationships with strategic business partners, such assuppliers, wholesalers, retailers, and so on. Lead the executive team in establishing and executing major goals and objectives forOshtugon. Provide strategic direction and oversight for the development and implementation ofsales and marketing initiatives. Ensure Oshtugon Computers financial performance meets or exceeds established goalsand objectives. Foster a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices, customer focus, and service,and encourages individual integrity. Represent Oshtugon Computers in negotiations with customers, suppliers, governmentdepartments, and other key contacts to secure the most effective contract terms. Establish and maintain effective formal and informal links with major customers, relevantgovernment departments and agencies, local authorities, key-decision makers, and otherstakeholders to exchangeinformation and views to ensure OshtugonComputers is providing theappropriate range and quality of services. Monitor the operating and financial results against plans and budgets, taking remedialaction where necessary and informing the Board of significant changes. Maintain and develop organizational culture, values, and reputation in its markets andwith all staff, customers, suppliers, partners, and regulatory/official bodies. Explore the development of internal financial statements Qualifications: Experience as a President or in other managerial positions in the retail industry, preferablyunderstanding the customers from Northwestern Ontario Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles. Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, PR, sales, etc. In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices. An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills. Excellent communication and public speaking skills. Understanding of Indigenous culture and ability to speak Oji-cree an asset.
