Our goal is to transform their ideas into reality through thoughtful design and precise engineering.Role Overview Senior Mechanical Engineer We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support our building envelope and mechanical systems projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, and assessment of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings, with an emphasis on energy efficiency and sustainability. Key Responsibilities Design and analyze HVAC, plumbing/piping, and fire protection systems. Conduct mechanical system condition assessments and provide recommendations for upgrades or repairs. Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other team members to develop integrated designs. Prepare reports, specifications, and drawings for mechanical projects. Conduct site visits to evaluate existing mechanical systems and ensure compliance with project specifications. Assist in the development of energy-efficient solutions to enhance building performance. Ensure compliance with local building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations. Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers and technologists. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario (additional provinces considered an asset). 10-15 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in building systems design. Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code, ASHRAE standards, and mechanical system design principles. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and mechanical design software.
