We are experiencing significant expansion across Canada, the US and into the global market and are seeking an experienced Human Resource Business Partner to support this growth. A successful applicant will be engaging and dynamic, carrying key focus in international compliance, policy development, employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, as well as special projects as required. This is a full-time, permanent position. The Duties Ensure policy compliance in new regions by reviewing and adapting existing policies, assisting with translations, and delivering policy training as required Understand current employment legislation and HR best practices to ensure policies and procedures achieve organizational goals and remain in compliance Assist in development and implementation of HR policies, programs, and initiatives Aid in implementing a long‑term Human Resource vision, strategy, and tactics in alignment with organizational objectives Utilize data to identify trends and diagnose organizational effectiveness issues Prepare annual reports as required for compliance with legislation in the U.S. and Canada Performance and Employee Development Providing advice and guidance to Leaders for all areas of HR, including employee relations, compensation, employee development, policy compliance, recruitment, and training Act as a cultural champion to promote an agile performance‑driven environment where all team members are encouraged to pursue and realize their full potential Lead and resolve workplace investigations as required while adhering to company standards and complying with applicable laws and regulations Work closely with employees and management to coordinate and facilitate early and safe return to work opportunities, leveraging the return‑to‑work accommodation program Support in the execution of compensation strategy through market analysis, job evaluation, and the annual review process Coach and develop management team on development needs, action plans for development, career growth, and learning opportunities Support Health & Safety initiatives, recommend and implement disability management practices, accessibility and the accommodation processes Talent Acquisition Responsible for talent sourcing and acquisition including creating job descriptions, posting available positions, sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding Lead management processes for hiring and interviewing within various departments Track efficiencies of the hiring process; measure success of candidate hiring process Use HRIS system to effectively manage the hiring process and candidate pool The Qualifications Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management or related field 5+ years of HR Generalist or Business Partner related experience Excellent verbal and written communication in English (fluency in French is an asset) Proven ability to conduct thorough workplace investigations Demonstrated expertise in developing and managing relationships Knowledge of employment legislation in multiple provinces is an asset Quick learner, creative, self‑motivated, and detail‑oriented Strong ability to multitask and manage conflicting priorities Experience with HRIS software would be considered an asset The Perks Competitive Salary Benefits package Paid time off Casual dress Employee discount On-site parking About Activate Taking entertainment into the future by fusing technology and physical activity together to create live‑action gaming experiences, Activate is a technology company building interactive gaming facilities with locations across Canada and the US.
