Lead a team, ensuring effective collaboration and resource allocation. Conduct regular team meetings and foster a positive team environment. Work with managers and business development leaders to pursue work in Ontario primarily focusing on GTA. Design electrical systems for various building types across Ontario. Manage project assignments from proposal to construction, including power distribution, lighting, and security systems. Collaborate with a design team to develop electrical designs and prepare project drawings and specifications. Communicate with clients, design partners, authorities, and contractors. Ensure designs comply with relevant codes and standards. Adhere to project budgets and timelines, maintaining accurate project tracking and billing. Review existing systems and prepare condition reports and feasibility studies. Prepare load calculations and select systems and equipment. Coordinate project drawings using CAD and BIM software. Participate in fee proposals and business development activities. Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff. What you’ll bring to WSP:Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario (P. Eng.). The drive and passion to build and lead a team. 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering consulting for buildings and infrastructure. Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead a team to deliver design submissions, often with demanding timelines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD, Proficiency with AGI or ETAP is considered an asset. Ability to deliver comprehensive design submissions, often with demanding timelines. Experience in creating tender document packages with drawings and specifications. Experience with site reviews of building electrical systems. An extensive understanding of building construction and building electrical systems and infrastructure. A detailed working knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code, Ontario Building Code and the National Building Code of Canada. About UsWSP is one of the world's leading professional services firms.
