Director of Operations (ICI General Contractor) This established ICI General Contractor is seeking a high‑impact Director of Operations to bring structure, pace, and consistency to how we deliver projects. This senior leadership role requires tightening execution, elevating teams, and scaling operational performance without losing the “get it done” mindset that wins work and keeps clients coming back. Base Pay Range CA$200,000.00/yr - CA$220,000.00/yr The Opportunity We’re an established ICI General Contractor looking for a high‑impact Director of Operations to bring structure, pace, and consistency to how we deliver projects. This is a senior leadership role for someone who can tighten execution, elevate teams, and scale operational performance without losing the “get it done” mindset that wins work and keeps clients coming back. What You’ll Own Lead day‑to‑day operations across multiple ICI projects (planning, execution, closeout) with a focus on schedule, budget, and quality Build repeatable systems: forecasting, labour planning, procurement strategy, risk management, and site‑to‑office communication Drive performance with clear KPIs, accountability rhythms, and proactive issue resolution Partner with Preconstruction/Estimating to ensure clean handoffs and realistic execution plans Develop leaders: mentor PMs/Superintendents, set standards, and strengthen culture and retention Improve margins through disciplined controls, change management, and vendor/subtrade optimization What We’re Looking For Proven operations leadership in ICI construction (GC environment) with responsibility over multiple projects/teams Strong commercial instincts: understands how decisions impact margin, cash flow, and client outcomes Builds clarity and calm under pressure—sets priorities, removes friction, and follows through Trusted communicator with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders Track record of implementing systems that improve delivery (not just talking about them) Why This Role Matters This role is about making the business run better—more predictable delivery, stronger teams, and healthier project outcomes—so the company can grow with confidence.
