Role Overview Members of the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) are teachers or teacher leaders and public members who are respected in the community and demonstrate credibility, accountability, integrity, respect, transparency, and excellence in their profession. They have extensive experience and expertise in conducting administrative hearings related to appeals from individuals. Responsibilities Adjudicate appeals through administrative hearings. Incorporate due process and natural justice principles in all practices. Maintain accountability, integrity, respect, transparency, and excellence in decision-making. Qualifications Teacher or teacher leader, or a public member respected in the community. Extensive experience and expertise in administrative hearings on appeals. Demonstrated credibility, accountability, integrity, respect, transparency, and excellence. Commitment to terms up to three years, with reappointment opportunities for a maximum of 12 years under the Alberta Public Agencies Governance Act.
