Job Title Electrical Engineer – Calgary Job Description We are looking for an Electrical Engineer for our Calgary office. In this role you will be part of the E & IC group, working on multi‑disciplined engineering projects and interfacing with mechanical, electrical, structural and civil engineers. Responsibilities Design power systems including medium‑voltage electrical equipment, motor control centres, low‑voltage electrical distribution systems, lighting, hazardous location classification and design, and fire alarm systems. Supervise junior engineers or technicians and review their work for technical accuracy. Plan projects and coordinate cross‑disciplinary activities. Conduct field inspections and work with contractors. Apply industry codes, standards and safeguards such as CEC, IEC, NFPA and client company standards to designs. Prepare single‑line diagrams, cable and conduit schedules, control panel layouts, conduit routing, heat tracing, motor‑power and control schematics, and field wiring. Develop plans and details for hazardous area classification, grounding, lighting and fire alarm systems. Prepare specifications for electrical equipment such as switchgear, motor control centres and electrical back‑up systems. Qualifications Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. Registered with APEGA as a Professional Engineer. 8+ years of experience in a multi‑discipline engineering setting. Strong application of electrical engineering principles to diverse industries. Project management experience is an asset. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Self‑starting, committed team player able to work independently. Valid driver’s licence.
