Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the first stage of the recruitment process including initial screen calls and interviews
  • Contacting passive and active candidates and building a robust and qualified talent pipeline for future hiring needs across all industries and business verticals
  • Being innovative and bringing forward new ideas on candidate pipelining and candidate marketing
  • Maintaining candidate databases via our Applicant Tracking System
  • Becoming an expert in external recruitment sources such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Monster, ZipRecruiter, etc.
  • Posting ads and actively searching for talent in our in-house database and on several online resumes banks
  • Completing a high volume of calls to qualified candidates
  • Consistently meeting weekly and quarterly KPIs based on call volume, interviews and net new candidates added to ATS
  • Holding a high volume of interviews virtually via MS Teams or other platforms
  • Scheduling interviews on behalf of colleagues
  • Crafting and sending recruitment e-mails
  • Coordinating with Account Managers and Recruitment Partners to determine skill sets that are in demand and need to be sourced
  • Updating candidate files with a goal to locate and place available candidates, generate leads and contribute to candidate-marketing activities
  • Helping to develop candidate marketing and candidate recruitment campaigns
  • Reviewing applicants for job postings and short-listing top talent for recruiters


Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 1-2 years of previous recruiting/sourcing experience either within an agency or corporate setting preferred
  • Loves performing cold outreach to candidates and initiating conversations
  • Expert user of external recruitment resources including LinkedIn Recruiter, Monster, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and more
  • Experience working on a high volume of requisitions, juggling multiple roles and tasks simultaneously
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt and pivot to changing priorities quickly
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines
  • Natural curiosity about people, their backgrounds and experience
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Knowledge of and experience with recruiting practices, candidate process management, behaviour interviewing skills and assessment techniques
  • Motivated by a KPI-driven environment
  • Technical aptitude in the use of business software and applicant tracking systems
  • Based in Vancouver with the ability to work from a downtown Vancouver office 2/days week and attend in-person career fairs, networking events, etc. as required


Education and Certifications

Minimum education required: University Degree or College Diploma
