Position:  Senior Sheet Metal Estimator

Job Type:  Permanent, Full-Time

Reporting to:  Chief of Estimating

Qualifications and Experience:

·    3+ years experience in commercial mechanical estimating

·      Strong understanding of, and ability to accurately estimate sheet metal 

·      Assemble accurate, timely, and organized estimates including hard-bid construction management and design-build in a methodical and systematic manner

·      Ability to maintain databases, including labour rates, material pricing, and project costs, for future reference

·      Ability to review drawings and tender documents to understand the scope of work and submission requirements

·      Ability to read, interpret, and analyze plans, schematics, specifications, tender documents, contracts, as well as perform reviews of subcontractors and vendor bids

·      Able to perform both software based and manual take-offs and estimate preparations

·      Experience with Trimble Accubid Classic or AutoBid an asset

·      General computer skills and fluency using Microsoft programs

·      Ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels during the bid process and for feedback and additional opportunities

·      Strong network and knowledge of vendors and contactors in the GTA ICI market.

·      Experience in design-build an asset
