Typically, insurance companies, or attorneys in case of litigation, engage our experts to produce reports in a wide range of fields: Fire Investigation, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical and Biomechanical, Structural and Civil Engineering, Building Envelope and Façade, Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Collision Reconstruction, Chemistry and Chemical Engineering as well as Environmental Science. We are looking for a Architect with specialty in Building Envelope , to join our amazing team at Calgary office. If you are someone who takes their job seriously, but also has a great sense of humor, we want you on our team The Role Determine the origin and cause of damage to the building envelope (roof, siding, curtain wall) of residential, commercial and industrial buildings; Carry out analyzes of the conformity of buildings according to the Construction Code and applicable standards; Carry out investigations to find root cause of failure and damage in building envelope, roof, siding, curtain walls, and structures; Perform thermographic examinations and standard watering tests on buildings; Write expert reports detailing the investigations carried out and conclusions; What you bring to the table: University degree in architecture; Architectural License will be considered as asset; At least 5 years of experience, preferably in inspection, consulting, construction drawings of building envelope system and related structures Strong command of both oral and written English; Knowledge of the Building Codes and Standards; Valid driver's license. Excellent ability to synthesize and analyze information as well as problem-solve and ability to write technical reports; Attention to and detail, planning, organizing, and prioritizing skills; Curiosity, good judgment and initiative.
