Base pay range CA$165,000.00/yr - CA$185,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Iopa Solutions We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join our Canadian team. This role will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and securing our SQL Server environments, supporting both SaaS deployments and on-premises/VM-hosted solutions. You will ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our databases while supporting business‑critical applications. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain SQL Server databases, including Azure SQL Managed Instances . Write and optimize T‑SQL queries , stored procedures, and functions. Perform database indexing, statistics updates, and query tuning for optimal performance. Support SaaS deployments and VM‑hosted database environments. Implement database security , backups, and disaster recovery strategies. Work with ORM SQL frameworks to support application development. Monitor and troubleshoot database performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively. Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth deployments. Requirements Strong experience with SQL Server and T‑SQL development. Hands‑on experience with Azure SQL Managed Instance and cloud-based database deployment. Experience in SaaS deployment models and VM-hosted databases. Expertise in indexing, statistics, and query tuning . Knowledge of ORM SQL frameworks and integration with applications. Strong understanding of database security, backups, and disaster recovery . Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
