You prioritize meeting the needs of our client and supporting him with his Activities of Daily Living. You are expected as part of our team to be flexible and willing to accept schedule changes based on the client’s schedule. You are expected to perform your duties as a nurse with the emphasis of blending into the client’s environment. As the primary night shift nurse, your main objective is to ensure the safety of the client when transferring in and out of bed during the night. As an RPN, your daily responsibilities will impact the following ways:Providing nursing care within the scope of the RPN practiceUsing sound nursing principles to ensure excellent care is delivered to the clientUnderstanding of the use and maintenance of a CPAP machineUsing knowledge of Proper Body Mechanics to assist client after falls.Administering medications vial oral and IMCreating a safe and comfortable environment that respects residents’ privacy, dignity, autonomy, independence and personal values and lifestyleParticipating in care planning and support residents to meet their goals by adhering to their care planExercising sound judgement and not shy away from engaging other nurses for supportCollaborating with all stakeholders to foster an atmosphere conducive to optimal care.
