Role Overview The Wealth Data engineering team within the Global Wealth Engineering (GWE) is the key team in meeting the operational data needs of the various stakeholders within Wealth Management. The Lead Data Analyst will play a key role in designing and implementing business solutions using Google Cloud, working closely with the enterprise data team and data architects, solution architects, data analyst and data engineers. Responsibilities Gather requirements, conduct research, and provide actionable insights to solve business problems. They collaborate with multiple teams to ensure project goals meet business needs. A key task is documenting and presenting findings through reports and presentations. Serve as a data analyst and technical support for information systems. The Data Analyst analyzes current business processes and oversees the integration and implementation process of effective business practices into the appropriate information systems. Promote efficiency through the systems used in a company. This is broken into two components: improving and optimizing current systems in the business, and creating new systems to support the company's strategies. Create technical documents inclusive of mapping details as well as designing and implementing data ingestion patterns that will support batch, streaming and API interface on both the Ingress and Egress. Guide a team of data analysts and work hands‑on in developing framework and mapping specs using best practices that will meet the demanding performance requirements. Use advanced technical knowledge to support claims and answer clients' questions about the proposed changes. Provide end‑to‑end business/technical guidance and expertise on data integrity and referential integrity across LOBs. Define Use Case Scenarios and validate the scenarios. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in data analysis, performance optimization for large OLTP applications. Knowledge of Wealth Industry – Retail/Wealth, IIROC‑CRM guidelines, CRA guidelines. Oral and written communication skills. Interpersonal and consultative skills. Facilitation skills. Analytical thinking and problem solving. Being detail‑oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy. Organizational skills. Knowledge of business structure. Stakeholder analysis. Expertise knowledge of Hadoop HDFS, Hive, Pig, Flume and Sqoop. Experience with Google Cloud Platform Databases (SQL, Spanner, PostgreSQL). Experience working with relational/NoSQL databases.
