Director of Business Development – Senior Living We are partnered with a national leader in outsourced hospitality/support services for senior living and healthcare. They elevate resident and patient experience through white‑glove dining, housekeeping, and support services, backed by rigorous process, safety, and data‑driven program design. In addition to industry leadership (Most Admired Company, FORTUNE 500), they are a multi‑time recipient of Great Place to Work and Most Admired Company awards. The company is expanding its retirement‑living offering in Western Canada. They are hiring a Director of Business Development (strategic individual contributor) to build and own the Clinical space in Ontario, with a pathway to leadership and owning Eastern Canada in two years. Mandate & Responsibilities Lead generation & prospecting: Market research to source new opportunities; narrow‑and‑deep outreach (campaigns, dimensional mail, experiential demos/events). Pipeline & forecast: Build a healthy pipeline and accurately forecast wins across 6‑24 month cycles; Year‑1 target ~1‑2 sites. Communication & proposal leadership: Write compelling proposals/RFP‑alternatives, letters, and executive presentations; steer multi‑threaded communication with client and internal teams. Relationship management: Multi‑level (including C‑suite) entry strategies; build long‑term account value and referrals across ownership groups. Strategic planning: Develop win strategies for contact, relationship management, competitive positioning, and deal structure (including non‑RFP, consultative/value selling). Database/CRM & reporting: Keep pristine CRM data; complete reports on YTD results, strategic plans, and budgets. Negotiations: Develop proposals, present, negotiate, and drive contract execution. Internal project management: Lead/liaise with SMEs (Operations, Finance, HR, IT, Retail Dining) to craft bespoke solutions; quarterback the internal "sale." Event management: Plan/support client events, conferences, and showcases with inside BDM + marketing. The Ideal Candidate Brings 5+ years in an active hunter B2B sales role with uncapped commissions; consistent new‑logo wins. Sector fluency: Understanding of outsourced services sales motion, ideally selling food or facilities services into clinical settings. Business acumen: Occupancy/P&L levers, pricing/packaging; comfort orchestrating cross‑functional teams. Time/territory management: Thrives with autonomy; excellent at prioritization, time‑blocking, and managing travel schedule; meets deadlines. Travel: Able to travel within GTA/Ontario 30‑50% of the time (role is otherwise remote). What They Offer Compensation: $110K - $120K salary + $200K - $230K OTE in Year 1 (uncapped, margin‑based).
