Assistant General Manager We're seeking an Assistant General Manager to join us at Lupo Italian, a celebrated restaurant in Banff recognized in Canada’s 100 Best New Restaurants (2023). In this role you will help shape daily operations, support the General Manager, and ensure guests enjoy an experience that reflects our values. Check us out here: Perks Flexible hours with great earning potential 50% off food and wines + a guest at all BHC venues Subsidized duty meal program Extended health benefits paid in full by BHC after 3 months Fun staff events – outdoor activities, holiday parties, team socials and more Opportunities for growth and advancement across all BHC venues Subsidized manager housing may be available Responsibilities Oversee and manage all areas of the venue, making swift decisions as needed Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs Ensure all financial and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately and on time Enforce sanitary practices for food handling and general cleanliness Maintain compliance with operational standards, company policies, and all applicable laws and ordinances Present a professional restaurant image through cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards Deeply understand and consistently deliver on the venue brand, inspiring others to do the same Balance outstanding guest service with a focus on employee experience and a strong team culture Lead by example with a visible floor presence throughout your shift Prepare for and attend weekly, monthly, quarterly, and semi‑annual planning meetings Qualifications ProServer certification required WSET certification is an asset 2+ years of experience in the food and beverage industry Comfortable with technology and systems; able to troubleshoot, update, and train others Excellent teamwork, communication, and collaborative skills Ability to build trusting relationships and foster workplace culture Open to new perspectives and flexible with schedule Professional and tactful in all interactions Willingness to work a flexible schedule Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
