Position: Senior Quality Assurance Specialist – a dynamic, client‑facing QA role that drives testing efforts, provides strategic input throughout the project lifecycle, and acts as a trusted quality representative. Responsibilities Collaborate with Developers, QA Analysts, Business Systems Analysts, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and contribute to solution options. Design and execute comprehensive test cases for functional, regression, performance, and system compatibility testing. Conduct accessibility testing to ensure compliance with WCAG and AODA standards. Identify opportunities for automation and support automation testing efforts in partnership with the QA team. Test external websites (e.g., OPTA) and internal applications, validating workflows, data accuracy, and reporting outputs. Participate in and lead system demonstrations, walkthroughs, and presentations for clients and external partners as required. Support client training sessions and knowledge‑transfer activities, ensuring systems are well understood and quality expectations are clearly communicated. Provide training and mentoring to QA staff and contribute subject‑matter expertise to cross‑functional teams. Qualifications Undergraduate degree in Commerce or a related field, ideally with a focus on Applied Mathematics. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in quality assurance. Hands‑on experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium or similar). Strong UI/UX understanding to support intuitive and user‑friendly design validation. Demonstrated ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into effective testing strategies. Experience serving as a lead tester on complex, enterprise‑level projects. Expert knowledge of QA methodologies, testing best practices and quality assurance processes. Strong analytical, conceptual and systematic thinking abilities. Ability to evaluate data, assess options and measure performance against requirements. Effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders. Confidence and professionalism in client‑facing environments, including presentations, demonstrations and stakeholder meetings. Strong communication skills with the ability to translate between business and technical perspectives. Capability to mentor team members and foster a collaborative, high‑quality testing environment.
